Let them Eat Cake | Bridal Shoot

Who doesn’t love a cute cupcake or beautifully colored and extremely detailed wedding cake?…..
I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t. Which is why we decided to bring the brains of some of the areas hottest wedding vendors together for a new and stylish bridal shoot.

Ryan and I joined forces with Lori Hutchinson Cakes, Bridal Wreath Barrie, Electric Lollipop Toronto, Studio Shiik Barrie, and the amazing Jon Thorpe of  Union Photography in Toronto and we created some stunning set ups.

We are really proud of these images and we want to thank the following: My sister Jackelyn for helping us out all day, Harry Laur & Su Murdoch for lending us their house for the photo shoot and Ryan’s grandmother for lending us her tea cups. Our models for hanging out all day Alexis, Alexandra, Juliette and Nancy, you girls looked stunning and did a fantastic job! Thank You!

I had so many inspirations for these shoots, from Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, to a garden party collage board I saw on a wedding planning website. I wanted the old and the new mixed together, I wanted to see rich colors you don’t see every day, and patterns that are almost outrageous but still beautiful, I wanted an over abundance of sugary delights, and an elegance that comes from a turn of the century house.
I know we achieved this. It was a a huge feat to shoot 4 different set ups in one room, 4 models, 4 different looks, 4 cakes, and 4 moods we had to create. I think next time we will do just one set up per shoot.

Either way we shot a ton of images and ton of fun, ate a ton of cupcakes. Here are some of our favorite images, we will be featuring a bunch more very soon.
Stay tuned!
