The Caketress, Lori Hutchinson of Collingwood, Ontario is whipping up some delightful deserts these day. Hands down the most talented Cake maker North of Toronto. Her cakes and desserts appeal to a high end market, and its no wonder, the attention and detail that go into each original cake design is ridiculous. Its amazing how much work goes into each piece of edible art Lori creates.
We have had the pleasure of working with Lori Hutchinson on a number of occasions. From photographing some of her latest creations to actually hiring her to make our custom designed 5 year anniversary cake for us and all our friends. We were eating cake at every meal for about a week! So delicious!
What we love about Lori as an artist is that, like us she gets her inspirations from everyday life. If you check out her blog you can read up on how she turned a sketch, a couture dress, and a 16th century icon into delicious confections. Her latest work is rocking the wedding world, and we can’t wait to see what the next few years have in store for her!
