It has been so busy around here lately, we are out photographing commercial shoots, and events every other day. We didn’t think our annual Canada Day shoot was even going to happen this year. But with a little last minute planning, and thankfully a long weekend that brought one of our couples to Muskoka. Kayla & Kevin were able to jump in as models for a few dreamy fireworks portraits on Canada Day. You might remember them from their Muskoka engagement session last summer. We will be seeing these two again soon for their upcoming wedding in August!! This year we bought some of our own little fireworks and sparklers from those little pop up fireworks shops in Barrie, and even though nearly half of what we bought turned out to be duds! (well at least nothing like it was shown to be) We were still able to capture some fun and creative images.
With the city of Barrie’s lakefront packed to the brim, there was nearly no where to shoot from, but luckily after several failed attempts to buy some space with a great clear view of the fireworks from some local kids, we found a little clearing, on a romantic rock that gave just enough space to get the job done. Thankfully Kayla and Kevin are not crowd shy, it didn’t even phase them that about 100 people had front row seats to their photo shoot. By the end of the shoot and the fireworks display, people were coming up to us all and gushing over how romantic the photos looked from where they were sitting.
So we want to roll out a BIG thank you to the wonderful, amazing, and super fun Kayla & Kevin! Last nights shoot was so fun, your wedding is going to be even better!
