Last Saturday I had the pleasure of being second shooter for the first time with Jon Thorpe of Union Photography.
Jon’s friend and long time climbing buddy Patrick was one of the most patient people I have met, especially to be a human light stand for the wedding. Thank you Patrick for all your help and great geeky conversation, it made me feel at home shooting with you guys.
Chris & Claire’s wedding was so elegantly simple, from her short dress, to his handmade button corsages that will last forever. Everything about this wedding seemed to flow so nicely, from the location, to the colors to the lighting and of course Claire’s hair piece. Their wedding was at Berkeley Church on Queen Street East , Toronto. Which isn’t really a church at all, but a recycled church converted into an events hall, with tons of character, and a very urban feel. I loved this location, it didn’t need much decoration, which in the end made this wedding very eco-friendly. This place is making our wish list of wedding locations we want to shoot weddings at for 2009.
Thanks again to Union Photography for inviting me out, and to Chris and Claire, your wedding was fantastic, and I hope my wedding is as much fun as yours looked to be.
Here are some of the shots I caught.
Enjoy!

p.s- I loved the Vegan option for dinner, thank you for that!
