So 3 weeks ago we get a long distance call from a very unfamiliar number. On the other end is a man who say something along the lines of this “My wife to be says i need to help with the planning and find a photographer for our wedding, can you come?”
Naturally I am surprised that someone needed us to be at their wedding in 3 weeks, but we had the date available so i proceeded to ask questions about the location and the whereabouts of the actual wedding.
“oh the wedding is in Elliott lake, Ontario where we live” says the man on the other end.
“oh, but the number you are calling me from is really unfamiliar and doesn’t even look like its from this country.” I said, kind of confused.
“That’s because i am calling you from Afghanistan, I am working here as part of the Marines, and helping my fiance plan a wedding back home.”
So to make a long story shorter… we gladly accepted the invitation to shoot the wedding and then there we were 5 1/2 hours up North shooting one of the most beautiful weddings we have ever been too. Chris and Lara’s wedding was just WOW! Honestly that sums it up. From the food, to the decor, to the music and decorations, everything was very unique and every detail fit perfectly into their wedding theme. i am not going to say too much more about Chris and Lara’s wedding day, just that we had a ton of fun, and that we were so honored to be part of the entire event. The photos will speak for themselves.
Chris did mention to me after the fantastic light show that this was the first wedding he had ever been too, and we told him that he was lucky cause this was one of the best weddings we have ever been too!
