2013 has been a years for families. More than ever we are seeing families come together from around the globe for the holidays and spend time to having professional family portraits taken. The type of portraits families are asking for are experiential. They are not perfectly cultivated poses or backdrops in a studio. They are fun, out of the box, day in the life vignettes of the personalities that make up each clan. It is truly personalized photography. Its a lot of fun, and we hope you will consider this option for your next family portraits.
The Fawcett family is not stranger to Rowell Photography. Over the last few years we have produced a few personal family media projects for them. This is the first actual portrait session we have had the chance create for them. So on a sunny thanksgiving day weekend afternoon we met at the local Elmvale Ontario Fair, and watched the Fawcett family win at every game they played, and try out every ride until it got the best of them 🙂 We ended the photo shoot at the beautiful Springwater Park in Barrie, ON for more family portraits.

*To all the kids out there who live away from home, and are planning to visit for the holidays: Make time for professional family portraits with your family and extended family. You will never get this time back. We live in a fast paced world, almost too fast paced that sometimes seems to only be based on ridiculous timeframes, and bottom lines. You can’t put a price on time spent with family, and you can’t put a price on memories. The memories made from the hour or 2 you spend having your photos taken will by far outlast the memories you make playing on your iphone, upgrading your car or spending time in a long, Christmas shopping mall line up.
