To Rowell Photography, the lovely pair of photographers were probably the most professional and delightful people we have worked with so far. Right from the beginning, they were very prompt in replying all our emails. Personally, I had planned for a surprise photoshoot of my proposal to my fiancé and they did a really good job in keeping a little secret for me. That itself is a testament of their professionalism. When we met up for the first time we became fast friends. Erika was such a cheerful person to be around and Ryan’s witty humour got us laughing all the time. They were extremely considerate of our welfare during the photoshoot and Ryan took off his coat to lend to us when we were cold. They were very flexible of the change in timing as we predicted bad weather but thankfully everything went as planned. They were not at all particular of the hours they put in while shooting and made sure every shot was well taken before they went on to the next scene. In fact, they actually shot for much longer hours than we had paid for. Prior to the photoshoot, I also saw them walking the ground to plan for our photoshoot. That way they already knew where to set up their equipment and wasted very little time between each scenes. After the photoshoot we went to a nearby restaurant for a nice dinner. It was very much like a double date. We really appreciate their candidness and professionalism throughout the whole photoshoot. Their personal touch in the work they do made us feel special. We were especially touched when they gave us Polaroid photos of the pre wedding photo shoot as a gift just before we said our final goodbyes. On the whole, their pricing are probably the most reasonable out there and after all they have done for us, we felt that we had gotten more than we had bargained for. Thank you Rowell Photography for making our pre-wedding shoot such a pleasant experience. We miss you already and we hope to cross paths with you again in future. Keep in touch in facebook! 🙂

When planning my wedding like most brides I was going crazy on Pinterest that is were I discovered Rowell. I first spoke with them on the phone and right away I knew that Craig and I would love working with them and their artistic style of capturing couples beauty in a natural landscape. Once we booked with Rowell they were so helpful in planning our wedding. They provided lots of vendors they had worked with and it made planning our wedding simple. Throughout the year of planning our wedding they responded quickly to all my emails, questions and ideas. Working with the Rowell team made our wedding planning experience enjoyable. I highly recommend the engagement session with any photographer. Craig and I were nervous about doing a photo shoot together and the engagement session made us feel comfortable and ready for our wedding day. On the day of our wedding Erika and Ryan felt more like 2 friends taking our photos who made us feel excited, relaxed and confident they would capture our special day with everlasting photos. My favorite wedding day touch was the few polaroid photos Rowell gave us as a preview to how stunning our wedding photos had turned out. After our wedding Craig and I are were so enthusiastic to get our wedding photos and the photo booth pictures from Rowell. The photos they took were stunning, beautiful and enchanting. We have so many perfect photos we don’t know which ones to pick to hang on our walls. We are so grateful that Rowell captured the beauty of Muskoka that inspires us as a couple and our love for each other in the most natural gorgeous photos we have ever seen. Our wedding photos will last us a life time to remember how special our wedding day was and how mother nature gave us the prefect day to celebrate with our friends family and each other. Searching for photographers who could capture our love of winter ended when we met Rowell Photography. Working with the Rowell Photography Team was more than we could have imagined. We knew that having great photos to remember for our lifetime - both Engagement and Wedding - was one of the most important components for our events. We didn’t have it in our budget for a professional videographer, but one thing we did make sure of, is to have a fantastic photographer. Long before we had booked Ryan & Erika; an experienced and dynamic duo, I had been looking at photographs of weddings in Muskoka. I have to say that it is their photos of Windermere House that first got us interested in that particular venue. In actual fact, it probably wouldn’t matter where or what Ryan & Erika are photographing; all the photo’s they have on their website have a beautiful and emotive quality to them. A lightness that I wanted for our wedding. From the start, the emails we received were disarmingly friendly yet professional. They were definitely quick to respond to emails, and paid attention to even the smallest details. On the day of the wedding, there was quite a big storm brewing. Our ceremony took place under the cover or some angry-looking clouds (luckily with some peeks of sunshine). Immediately after the ceremony and a few brief photo’s, the wind whipped up and rain came down so quickly and heavily. Always on the ball, they were able to find a few places for us to take our group photo’s (so we actually had a good variety of backgrounds), and when the rain eased up, we went down to the docks to take more shots. While they suggested and photographed a few ‘staged’ poses for us, they also took photo’s of those joyful in-between moments, when my husband and I were just playing around, being ourselves. These, I’ll always treasure. I had been worried that with the lack of sunshine and blue skies, that our photo’s might end up a little ‘dull’. Those fears were quickly eased when we received our photo’s, not long after the wedding. I was so happy to see that the lighting was perfect. The photo’s were beautiful, with a journalistic style that sets this pair apart from others.

- How do we book you?
- Each year we have the opportunity to work with couples from all over the globe and because of that we needed to implement a quick and easy online way to for couples to book their wedding photography from the comfort of their own home, office, or smart phone where ever in the world they may be. To get the booking started just click the “Become a Client” tab at the top of this site to reach us with questions about pricing, products and availability. Once we have talked with you via email, over the phone or face to face by skype call about your wedding, we’ll send you a password-protected site where you can sign your contract and make your retainer payment to hold your wedding date with us at Rowell Photography. From selecting a quote, signing a contract and making your retainer payment towards your wedding photography can happen all within a matter of minutes. After that you can count on us to be there, cameras in hand, for the most anticipated day of your life.
- When is the best time to do engagement photos or pre-wedding portraits?
- As soon as you get engaged! That would be our suggestion. So we encourage couples to book as soon as they can. We require 2-3 months to get your print orders and albums orders together in time for your wedding.
- How many photographs do you take on our wedding day?
- The number of images taken at a wedding varies, as all weddings are unique. We like to average that a 2 photographer team will take an average of 70-100 images per hour, where a single photographer for your wedding might take between 50-70 images.
- Do all your weddings come with a wedding album?
- Yes, all of our wedding photography packages have the option to come with a custom designed wedding album. We believe that the best way to experience your wedding images is through print, and one of the best ways to see a large number of prints all together is in a custom album. We believe that there will never be an easier way to look at your photographs. 50 years from now when your children’s children are rummaging through your attic and stumble across your wedding photos they will not have to source ancient technology just to view a CD/DVD or a USB, they will simple open the book and turn the pages. And just like that they are experiencing those images.
- When will we receive the final work?
- Your wedding images will be ready for preview on your private online gallery 1 month after your wedding. All canvas prints, custom loose prints and thank you cards are delivered within the first 1-2 months after your wedding. The album creation and design is a collaborative process between the Rowell Photography team and YOU. The first draft of your wedding album will be available for you to view 1 month after your wedding. While the final album approval depends on your schedule, our goal is to deliver the final album to you within the first 3-4 months after your wedding along with your Wedding Image Archive on USB and any parent albums. Album and Wedding Image Archive on USB delivery or pick up can be scheduled with you once they arrive to our office. Shipping costs for your album will be billed to you.
