Welcome to Jamaica. Last month Ryan and I were invited to the beautiful island of Jamaica to create the commercial advertising photography for Borghinvilla, Jamaica’s newest wedding and event venue. The brain child of Canadian wedding planner extraordinaire Jennifer Borgh, who has been creating amazing wedding experiences for Canadian and American couples in love for the past 10 years in Jamaica. Borghinvilla is exactly the place Ryan and I would visit in any country. Its intimate and upscale, and offers customizable services that allow you to make the trip truly catered to your needs and wishes. The property is breathtaking, and I’m not even talking about the cliff side views of the Caribbean Sea yet. The backyard and pool areas are perfect for a cocktail reception or party of any kind. The path leads you straight to the cliffs, where you can enjoy unobstructed views where only the ocean meets the sky. If you were ever looking for piece of heaven in Jamaica, you are sure to find it at Borghinvilla.
We were thrilled to be the first photographers to capture images at Borghinvilla. Working with Jenn and her amazing team was a fantastic experience. For Borghinvilla’s social media promotions and their brand new website, we wanted to photograph two very different wedding styles; a North American style wedding with a bride in a white dress, and an Indian style wedding with a bride in a stunning saree and lehenga. We photographed two ceremony designs and two reception tables. Jenn also had a sign made in the shape of the island of Jamaica, with the words “One Love” on it. We had a gorgeous and sunny day, with an epic sunset. Finishing the night off with the models sending biodegradable paper lanterns into the sky. The only thing that could have made this shoot better was if it was a real wedding.
We wanted to share a bunch of our favourite images below, and thank Jennifer for choosing us to create the commercial advertising photography for your new venue, and Christian for working so hard to make sure everything looked perfect for the shoot, and Bailey who acted as Ryan’s lighting assistant, and our gorgeous models Christina & Ariel.
