You might remember these two from their romantic engagement session at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta. That engagement session is still one of my all time favourites. So it was no surprise how beautiful and meaningful their Muskoka wedding was. Juliana and Marc were married in a tiny Muskoka church on the lake, their guests posed for a giant group photo out front and then family photos were taken at the lake. After the ceremony several of their closest friends and family headed to Marc’s family cottage for dinner, and drinks. With such a small intimate crowd guests wandered their gorgeous lakeside property sipping wine and golfing off the docks.
For me, the most notable moment was when Marc announced that he would be serving wine from a bottle he had been saving since he was a child to his bride and family. When he was young and on a family trip to a vineyard in France he asked his parents to buy him a bottle of red. He told them he planned to drink it with his future wife on their wedding day. It was one of the highlights of the night to watch friends and family sample a taste of his 20+ year old bottle. Its moments like this that make ordinary weddings extraordinary.
Congratulations to Marc & Juliana! We were so thrilled to be your Banff engagement and Muskoka wedding photographers. Hopefully next year we will have the pleasure of photographing your first family portraits.
Cheers
& Ryan
