Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club

This June we photographed one of the most beautiful sunsets of summer in Muskoka, actually we have been so lucky this whole summer to have had the chance to photograph some beautiful sunsets. It just so happened to be Josh & Maggie’s wedding day at Muskoka Lakes Golf & Country Club located in Port Carling, Ontario. The newlyweds were married in a small indoor ceremony under a simply gorgeous birch wood chuppah in the lounge area of the club which is surrounded by lake on all sides. Maggie arrived to the ceremony in a classic boat driven by her father. With exception of Maggie & Josh, the boat was the most photographed at the wedding! It really is a beauty. During their wedding ceremony the sunlight was beaming in the doors and during the quiet parts of the ceremony you could hear the water wooshing against the dock. Maggie’s dress was classic with lace cap sleeves and a long strand of pearls she wore down her back, the perfect fit for an intimate Muskoka wedding. But what I really loved were her grey Manolo Blahnik flats, reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw’s wedding shoes from the Sex and the City movie.

This wedding was so relaxing, guests were free to wander around the docks and take in the golden setting sun which seemed to last for hours. Muskoka Lakes Golf and Country Club is such a gem! It was our first time photographing a wedding there and we are looking forward to coming back.
