Muskoka Wedding at Taboo Resort - Rowell Photography

The year 2014 is just around the corner, and this past year has been a great one. We have met so many amazing couples this past season and photographed so many lovely weddings. This wedding will surely not disappoint.

Shauna & Jordan were married at Taboo Resort earlier this year in Muskoka, Canada. You might remember them from their Toronto rooftop engagement session. Just this week their wedding was featured in one of Canada’s most beautiful wedding magazines, Elegant Wedding Magazine. Weeks before the wedding Jordan the groom contacted us to organize a special surprise he was planning for the bride. A fireworks display over Lake Muskoka during their wedding reception. Of course we thought this would be a great idea so we said just bring her outside at night and tell her that we wanted to take some night time photos on the docks. Muskoka at Taboo Resort is very, very dark on the water at night, so Shauna was totally confused as to how we were going to be able to see anything worth seeing in the darkness. I think Jordan even tried to convince her that there was a pretty street lamp that he wanted in a photo haha! It was to say the least the most amazing moment of the day. Shauna was so surprised, the only thing bigger than her smile, were the fireworks that lit up the sky. It was the perfect end to a gorgeous summer day.
