How do you know if you have found the right person? The right partner to share your life with? In my own experiences, having a partner who brings balance to your life in the areas where you fall short, yet maintaining a level of grace and humility, and someone who is not afraid to let your light shine, while simultaneously blazing their own path; is key. True love and partnership comes from not only supporting each others ideas and dreams, but from working together to make those ideas and dreams a reality. If you have that in a partner, marry them. Life is too short.

When we met Jill & Mike, we liked them right away. Our ideas clicked with their vision, and together we were able to easily capture their stunning Muskoka wedding day. Jill is a planner at heart, she was more than capable of carrying out all the tasks a wedding planner would do on a wedding day, but she is also very smart, and hired Laura & Co. to carry out her wedding vision, so that she could fully enjoy every moment. While a wedding planner may not be in every brides budget, a good planner is worth their weight in gold. Jill & Mike’s Muskoka wedding at Windermere House wedding went off without a hitch, it was perfectly on time, there was no rushing through any part of the day. The guests were happy, the food was delicious, and there was more than their fair share of happy tear shed during speeches. Jill & Mikes Muskoka wedding dream was literally coming true. Then Mike made a little impromptu speech, veering the plans for the evening off course just a little. No one had any idea what he was planning when he asked guests to leave their seats and join him and Jill on the patio and back lawn of Windermere House.

Two weeks earlier Mike had called us with a little plan of his own. He wanted to surprise Jill with something she would have never thought of. A plan that would tie in all her beautiful wedding day plans, and end the night with a bang! Literally. Only the planner, Ryan and I knew about Mike’s present to Jill. He planned for a truly epic fireworks display over Lake Rosseau. With the help of our friend Dean Fritz at PyroWorld, Jill and over 100 of her closest friends and family, experienced one of the most gorgeous Muskoka fireworks displays we have ever seen. Jill’s reaction was priceless.

So in light of this new information, I’d like to edit my above statement: True love and partnership comes from not only supporting each others ideas and dreams. It comes from working together to make those ideas and dreams a reality; and then working harder, to make the reality even better than one could have imagined.
