Last weekend we headed to Toronto for David & Melissa’s pre-wedding photography session at the Royal Ontario Museum. David and Melissa flew in from New York City to finish up a little bit of wedding planning and wanted to have pre-wedding photos taken that remind them of the city of Toronto, where they first met. They chose the St. Lawrence Market as their second engagement shoot location because it was actually a place they used to frequent when they were Torontonians.
We wandered around the palaeontology wing at the Royal Ontario Museum, and the ancient Egypt exhibits, and pretty much had the museum to ourselves. It was Polish Day at the ROM so all the festivities were happening in the lobby and left some of the permanent exhibits completely open to a photo shoot. We had forgotten how utterly stunning this building is; most Ontario kids visit the ROM as part of a school trip, and that was pretty much the last times we had been to visit. For all the kids at heart out there, Yes the bat cave is still there, and No it is not as scary as it used to be 🙂
We hope you all enjoy this collection of images. Its hard not to marvel at this museums treasures, for us this shoot is quite special because it blends our love of world history and our love for capturing intimate connections. We are so thrilled to be photographing Melissa & David’s Muskoka wedding later on this year.
Thank you for choosing us to document your Toronto pre-wedding photos.
Cheers
& Ryan
