The evening I left for Paris I had one last photo shoot to do. Seth and Angie’s engagement session. Seth is a good friend of ours partially because he works at our local Henry’s Camera Store and when we come in he lets us try out everything and then doesn’t say anything when we don’t buy anything haha. We are very particular shoppers. But when we do come back and buy stuff we always come to Seth. We were so honored when we asked us to shoot his engagement session. Tons of photographers and photographer wannabe’s prance on through Henry’s everyday and Seth chose us!!
We photographed Angie and Seth at Tyndale Park in Barrie, Ontario. Angie was the funniest person, for me it was like watching myself in front of the camera. I, like Angie cannot stop laughing when someone points a camera at me. I laugh and giggle when I am nervous, or uncomfortable and on display. I totally knew what she was feeling. Being in front of the camera is a strange experience. Which is why I was hiding very nicely behind mine. Getting portraits taken is a very weird experience and I sometimes don’t give our clients credit for putting their love out there and on display for us to capture. We sort of just assume couples will be okay with it, and they will be ready to perform for us an entertain us. I forget how uncomfortable it can be at first, but that’s what the engagement sessions are for, they are to shake out your nerves before the wedding, so when that day comes around you are pros at getting your pics taken and its no longer as weird to have Ryan and I hanging out with you every step of the way.
After Angie got all her giggles out we proceeded to capture some awesome images of them.
Here are some of our faves. Thanks again to Angie and Seth for asking us to capture their engagement, it means so much to us.
Cheers
& Ryan
