We have been having a great winter season! With so many wonderfully snowy winter weddings, engagements, and families to share with you all. This Muskoka elopement ceremony took place at Taboo Resort in the Fireside Lounge, just before the new year. It has been a few years since we had seen an elopement inquiry in our inbox. This year we had one summer elopement and two in the winter, stay tuned for a lovely Deerhurst Resort Elopement by Luca coming to this blog soon. For the bride and groom, Crystal and Christopher a small wedding was exactly what they wanted. They were high school sweethearts and have been together for 16 years and engaged for 5 years. So on a cold clear afternoon they were married in Muskoka with just two guests, their witnesses, their sister and brother in law, and closest friends. They had a short and sweet ceremony, followed by shots at the bar, and photos all over the Taboo Resort lobby and patio. For us as photographers, one of the best parts of this wedding was that the resort was nearly deserted. Being so close to Christmas most people were spending time at home with family, so we had the place to ourselves for a few hours. When we asked Crystal and Chris why they chose to elope they said:
You can make an elopement anything you want it to be, you can have all the perks of a big wedding, the dress, photographers, flowers, decorations, and it still just be the two of you.
How romantic! We really loved photographing this wedding, we could have stayed at Taboo Resort, taking photos of these 4 all day. It was truly a pleasure to be apart of this lovely Muskoka winter elopement. Congratulations to Crystal & Christopher on tying the knot!
Cheers to a lifetime of happy memories.
& Ryan
