A few weeks ago Luca & Ryan headed to Toronto to photograph Allison & Graham’s Toronto pre-wedding engagement session. They chose two locations, the Art Gallery of Ontario and Trinity College. Allison & Graham both attended Oxford University in the U.K. Trinity  College, located not far from their current residence, with all its english style architecture reminds them of where they fell in love.

Not only are pre-wedding sessions a great way to spend an afternoon together, they are also a great for getting to know your photographers, and experiencing what the photo portion of the wedding day will feel like. Actually the pre-wedding engagement session is an over exaggerated way to see what that feels like. The wedding is more of a documentary style approach to photography where the photographers are observing the day and capturing the moments, and creating relaxed and candid portraits. The engagement session is a creative expression of you as a couple, and the photographers creative skills. The engagement session and wedding together give you the chance to have photographs taken in both these styles.

We love these images Luca created. When I look at them I see such a cinematic style to them, like any of these images could have been a moment from a scene in a movie. Not bad for a rainy spring day in the city.
