Its no secret that this blog is filled with travel photography and amazing couples, and families who travel with us around this beautiful planet. Allowing us the honour of capturing their most important events of their lives. It is sometimes hard for our own families to grasp the idea that we get to travel to photograph people for a living. It still is a little bit unbelievable for us too. We remind ourselves everyday how rare it to make a living as artists, and we never take it for granted. When families and couples hire us, this is not something they or we take lightly, and when they decide to travel and have us photograph a piece of their lives, it is a BIG deal.
If there was ever a reason to have professional family photos taken while on vacation here it is: As a family, you can choose to live in the moment together or be stuck behind the camera alone, capturing it. The truth is that only one of these options results in memories for everyone.
The Shepherd family flew across the pond, from London, England for their vacation family photos in Canada. They chose Mont Tremblant in Quebec as their destination because one year ago this was where they spent their honeymoon. This year they brought along their adorable baby boy, who I might add looks just like the Royal Prince George, to make some new family memories. They are also expecting their 2nd child, so this was a great way to combine an anniversary, birth announcement and have a special trip for just the three of them before baby number two arrives. We spent two days photographing their vacation family photos around the resort, visiting waterfalls, meandering through the cobblestone streets, and spending time on the lake. The Shepherd family was relaxed, and easy going,  just as we hoped they would be on their Mont Tremblant family vacation.
We adore these Mont Tremblant family photos, they are bright, colourful, and rich with love and happiness.  They are some of my favourite vacation family photos we have taken all year. We want to thank the wonderful Shepherd family for choosing us to capture this exciting time in your lives. We cannot wait to photograph you all again, next time in England. I don’t know how two people can be blessed with so much cuteness already, but we wish you all the best with baby number two. The world needs more families as adorable as yours.
